1. Day 1 sucks.
2. The biggest challenge is getting up from bed. Every other thing from this point is automatic.
3. Get the right shoes. The better your shoes, the farther you can go.
4. Your body isn't tired. Your mind suggests it is.
5. Don't run with a talker; energy is contagious. Run alone as much as you can.
6. If you want to go far, don't focus so much on the distance ahead. Put your head down and keep running.
7. True satisfaction is running past how far you thought you could run. There is joy in advancement.
8. Record and track your distance. Confidence is based on a portfolio of multiple evidence.
9. Synergy works. Tap into group energy to go even farther.
10. Break a previous record to prove a point. Show your mind it's possible, then reinforce that belief on your body.
11. Some will walk, others will run slowly, some others will run fast, while others will jump as they run. What is important is that nobody is standing.
12. You can run any distance; the limit is your mind.
13. After you've conquered your mind, you'll discover that all along, time was the true limitation.
14. Other runners will make your distance feel like a joke. Keep running.
15 If you decide to beat someone to an arbitrary finish point, don't feel bad when you get to that point exhausted while they keep running.
16. Don't expect applause from non-runners. Most of your applause will come from other runners. Like a custom, they nod and clap twice.
